Sumas Mountain, Abbotsford, BC
Nestled in the woods on Sumas Mountain on a rainy day in February Joyce and Queenie tied the knot with a few of their local family members; with many of their other friends and family joining on zoom from around the world. The vision for their pivot to a small elopement was to bring the winding garden path of the park where they got engaged in the UK. With the fireplace as a centre piece to represent their new home in Canada.
The Greenhouse Venue was the perfect space for this intimate ceremony, keeping us dry from the rain but still letting the natural light and gorgeous florals shine. The personal touches and warmth of the candles, photos from their relationship and the woodturning stove made this afternoon even more special.
She's mine, I'm hers... The love between these two was electric and they had all 6 of us tearing up as they read their vows. It was such a dream to capture their joy as newlyweds celebrating in this beautiful space and then taking a short drive up Sumas Mountain to chase the snow. They were both so excited to have snow on their wedding day, something that helped celebrate their new move to Canada.
We are so grateful to have been part of this intimate ceremony and love being able to share how special plan B (or C or D...) can be! The most important part of your wedding day is getting to celebrate with your partner and these two really showed that!
