"Olive & Bean did our family photoshoot, and they were so pleasant to work with. Sarah was very patient with us especially with my 4 month old son who was feeling a little cranky that morning. I love how the photos turned out! I will definitely book another one with her next year and possibly every year after until our son thinks he's too old for family photos"

"We used Olive & Bean for our family newborn photos two years ago and then again just recently for some updated family photos. Both Olivia and Sarah are great to work with and make taking photos really easy! They have an awesome mix of posed photos and candid photos that show everyone’s personalities. The photos they captured of our daughter are adorable. I highly recommend them for your family photo shoot!"

tips for a great family session

01. let kids be kids! We will try and get one classic "everyone look and smile" shot for the grandparents. Other than that, play into what the kids are feeling. Run around together, laugh lots, get dirty in the sand, and cuddle together if that's what works for you. Every family is different and we want to capture you authentically in the stage you're in.

02. be early! Kids typically take some time to adjust (especially if we're in a new and exciting place!) Try and get there a bit early to explore, have a snack and check out your new surroundings.

03. come with no expectations - chances are it won't be exactly how you planned anyway. Things will be a little chaotic, and it may not look like the Pinterest board you had in mind. But come with an open mind and we'll create some magic together!

let's document your memories!
