After a small ceremony with family in Ontario the year before, Lilly and Scott were planning a vow renewal, dinner and dance party to celebrate with all their friends and family back in North Vancouver! They knew they wanted a celebration that felt joyful, personal, and totally unforgettable — and their wedding day absolutely delivered. From heartfelt ceremony to a reception that sparkled under disco balls, this was a celebration that truly reflected their fun-loving personalities.


From portraits in Lower Lonsdale to spontaneous moments between loved ones, Lilly and Scott’s gallery is a joyful mix of classic wedding imagery and candid storytelling. Capturing the connection between two people and their community is always the goal — and this wedding offered so many opportunities to do just that. The Wallace Venue is one of our favs! The team is incredible and  we love shooting locally in North Van! It's a great spot for your out of town guests to stay (plenty of hotels, views, and restaurants), as well as you get the gorgeous Vancouver City skyline in the background of your photos!


Disco Balls = Party Magic

One of the most memorable design elements of this wedding was the disco ball decor. Why have 1 disco ball when you can have 8???  Then you add a lighting technician (essential), a great DJ, and they absolutely transformed the room into the best night club (or spin class?) you could imagine. Disco balls have made a major comeback as a wedding decor trend — and these were truly the best we've seen. The dance floor was packed and the disco balls added a retro-chic vibe that kept the party going late into the night. We have had so many couples send in their inquiries for their weddings saying they saw the "disco ball couple" and want their reception to have the same vibes. If this is you too, you need LOTS of disco balls, and the lighting really made it all come together. No lights, no sparkles!
