Where do you shoot? Do you travel?
We are based in North Vancouver and shoot most of our weddings in BC, especially in the lower mainland, Sea to Sky, Fraser Valley, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver or Gulf Islands. We love to travel and would be happy to join you wherever your event will be hosted!
For family and couples sessions we primarily shoot in Vancouver, North and West Vancouver. In these areas there are no travel fees and we know all the best locations!
Who are your favourite clients?
Couples who want to be present on their wedding days, value spending time with their friends and family, love good food, and beautiful places. Bonus points if you bring your pet ;)
What do you photograph?
We photography weddings, elopements, couples and families in beautiful bc! During our slower months we also take on a limited number of non-wedding events.
Do all bookings come with two photographers?
All wedding packages include two photographers! We do our best work shooting together, capturing twice the memories, being in two places at once, and speeding up your family photos so you can get back to the party! Sometimes we are not both available for your date, in that case we have a group of incredible other photographers we will hire from to shoot with us for your day.
Most family, couples session and non-wedding event bookings will have 1 photographer. If your engagement session was booked as part of a wedding package we do our best to schedule a time we are both available so we can all get to know each other in person before the big day!
How does booking work?
When you're ready to book we will send you a contract and invoice by email! A deposit of 50% will be due when the contract is signed, with the remaining balance paid 1 month before your wedding or 1 week before your session. We accept payment by e-transfer or credit card. Dates are not held until we have received a signed contract and the deposit has been paid.
How will we receive our photos?
We deliver all our photos through an online gallery! You will have access to all images to download in both web and high resolution for printing and sharing! You will also receive a guest link to share with friends and family. All online galleries are connected to a professional quality print store where you can order prints directly!
What's your style?
We always shoot a mix of candid and prompted photos. We'll give you enough direction to not feel awkward but not so much that you feel like you're getting your school portraits done. To get the best candid photos you need to be present! Hug your people, laugh loud, cry a little and forget the cameras are there. Most of our clients have never had professional photos before, or have told us they feel uncomfortable in front of the camera but we will support you through the day to feel comfortable and look your best.
In terms of editing we take pride in keeping our photos true to tone so the colours of your day will shine. We take a lot of inspiration from the natural environment and love to showcase that through our work.
Are the locations you shoot in accessible?
Unfortunately not every location we shoot is accessible. If you or anyone in your group needs the location to be accessible by wheelchair or other mobility aid let us know and we can suggest a location that will work for you and your family! Many beautiful parks have concrete or packed gravel paths we can use if that is what works best for you!
Do we need an engagement shoot?
If you feel uncomfortable in front of the camera an engagement shoot is the best practice before you're wedding day! You'll get to meet us in person, see how we work, and get out some of the nerves about being photographed. And of course you'll get a bunch of cute photos to hang in your house or update your phone wallpaper. Lots of couples like to use their engagement shoot to shoot at a different type of location to their wedding (ex. Wedding in the forest in Squamish, and engagement shoot at the beach in Vancouver!
