So you're engaged, starting to plan your wedding, looking and photographers and totally overwhelmed - and now you need to decide if you want engagement photos.
Here's our advice:
An engagement shoot is one of the best ways for us to get to know you before your big day, and also the best way for you to get comfortable in front of the camera. Almost every single one of our wedding clients has told us at some point that they are new to getting their photos taken or feel awkward or uncomfortable! We get it, and that is totally normal. Our style is more casual and movement based to keep everyone feeling natural and comfortable.
We notice a huge difference in the comfort level of couples who do an engagement shoot. Think of it this way: you show up for your engagement shoot. There are 2 (sometimes 4) cameras pointed at your face as we tell you to kiss your partner. We all laugh and get the awkwardness out of the way.
With a tight wedding timeline, we are often not spared an additional 30 minutes to sit in the discomfort and begin to get familiar with what it feels like to be in front of the lens. Which is why we highly recommend an engagement shoot. We include a complimentary engagement shoot with our 8 and 10 hour packages but can add one onto other packages if you are interested.
