Guide | Sample Wedding Timeline

Wedding Day Timeline Tips and Samples!

Timelines make your day flow smoothly, and give your guests, staff, and vendors a general idea of when and where everything will be happening. If you have a wedding planner (we highly recommend this if it fits in your budget!) they will plan the timeline with you.

Some things to think about when planning your timeline:

  • Are getting ready photos important to you?

  • Do you want to do a first look or first see other as you walk down the isle?

  • Do you want to attend your cocktail hour to mingle with your guests?

  • Is there a lot of driving between locations during your day (ex. getting ready, ceremony, reception, photo locations)?

  • Do you want sunset photos (if weather and venue location permit)? What time is sunset?

  • Will there be guest dancing/partying that you want captured?
