Summerland, Okanagan BC
Our first wedding up in the beautiful Okanagan was at this stunning winery - Oak Estate. We were so excited to explore some more areas of BC, and even get a little weekend away after the wedding!
The bride and her friends got ready at La Punta Norte Guest Inn, just up the road from the venue. After an emotional first look with her dad, and a few photos outside the hotel the group headed to the winery for the ceremony.
Oak Estate offers gorgeous views of the lake with a ceremony spot just a short walk through the vineyards from their patio. Their dog Hudson was a hilarious addition to the ceremony as he first refused to walk down the aisle. Eventually he headed down and was quite the character during and after the ceremony.
Oak Estate has a large reception space on the deck overlooking the vineyard. The couple put together all of their own decor for this wedding and it truly turned out so beautiful. We seriously lucked out with the weather as the forecast was originally for light rain, but it turned out to be the perfect evening! The couple has an ongoing joke of "icing" each other over the years they've been together so it really wouldn't have been their wedding without the wedding party icing them just before dinner. At the end of the night we were treated to a pink and purple sunset as the group of friends and family shared some dances.
