Pemberton, BC
Pemberton will always be one of our favourite spots in BC. If you are looking for a venue that showcases the beauty of British Columbia, Pemberton is a great bet. We loved spending the day at Riverlands Red Barn for Taylor and Tyler's wedding.
We started the day at separate AirBnBs near the venue. Something we can't stress enough is that if you are doing getting ready photos, it is worth it to consider what the space will look like. Will the AirBnB or hotel room provide a cohesive look to your wedding gallery, or will one be much darker/brighter/more colourful than the other? Our couple took this into consideration when booking accommodations and it led us to some of our favourite getting ready photos that we've ever done! The boys were located near a stunning river in the forest which provided a great background for some shots of the guys (and sweet Mowgli) after they got their outfits on. The house that the girls were at had beautiful natural light, lovely neutral decor, and provided ample outdoor space for snapping some wedding party portraits after the first look.
The ceremony in the field with the mountains as the backdrop could not have been more beautiful. The large field also lent itself well to taking some more extended family photos with larger groupings. After this, the couple was able to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. The Prosecco van from Brews & Bubbles was a huge hit. As we moved inside the barn, a champagne tower upon the wedding party's grand entrance got the guests hyped up for the night ahead and was a fun way to kick off the reception.
A fun surprise to end our day arose when one of the guests suggested we snap some photos of the couple with his vintage car. The red really popped against the mountains, and Tay's stunning beaded veil was the icing on the cake as it delicately draped over the back of the car. The night rounded out with a photobooth, great dancing and donuts from Lee's (our fave). Congrats again, Tay and Ty! What a perfect day.
