Guide | Anti-Racism Resources

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

Black Lives Matter. We have been taking the time over the last couple weeks to listen, reflect, learn, unlearn and educate ourselves on how to be better allies and actively anti-racist. Below is a list of resources we've been working our way through and will continue to use and add to. Anti-racism and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement is more than just posting on social media or a blog. "The real work will be done when you close the app and no one is there to clap for you, you have to be accountable to your own unlearning." @Blessthemessy

We will recognize and check our own privilege regularly and work harder to ensure our space feels inclusive to everyone, especially the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. We apologize for not making it explicitly clear that you are welcome here. We can do a better job at actively sharing more diversity and inclusivity in our business, and we are sorry if our page has ever felt unwelcome. We will continue to have difficult conversations with our, friends, families, students, and fellow photographers in the industry to educate ourselves to better understand systemic racism, inequality and oppression. We recognize that everyone is learning and unlearning in different ways, so however you are doing the work, keep going.

"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." - Maya Angelou
